Samuel Chi
Sinotaneous.com is a part of SC Publications. Established in 2006, SCP has grown rapidly with several uniquely dedicated web sites and blogs.
Samuel Chi is the primary author on all SCP sites. A former journalist with 15 years of experience, Sam retired from active newspapering to devote to other business interests. He previously worked for the San Francisco Chronicle, Contra Costa Times and Pasadena Star-News, covering the National Football League, college football and basketball, baseball and golf. He won an APSE award for breaking news in 1996.
In October 2006, Sam founded BCSGuru.com, a site devoted to uncovering the mystery of college football’s Bowl Championship Series. After gaining a loyal following, Sam founded TheBerlinzoo.com in August 2007. The Berlinzoo is a collection of Sam’s musings on topics ranging from global politics to sports.
Sinotaneous.com is founded in April 2008. This site deals in detail China’s history, its present and future. A fluent Chinese speaker, Sam has a vast knowledge and uncommon insight to this emerging superpower.
Sam earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Cal State Fullerton and post-graduate in political science from UCLA. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, with family on both sides of the Strait, he currently lives in Florida, USA, with his wife and daughter.
